Trinity Lake Property
With regret after much deliberation and discussion, the Board of Trustees made the decision not to renew the lease with the Corps of Engineers for the Property at Lake Thurmond. The Corps of Engineers informed Trinity on the Hill that the lease could be renewed if specific improvements were made to the property as specified by the Corps and specific operational guidelines were initiated and followed as specified by the Corps. If the improvements and other requirements were not met and maintained within a time frame set by the Corps, the lease would be terminated and Trinity would have a large financial liability to restore the entire site to its natural condition.

Based on the financial requirements of Trinity to comply with the requirements of the Corps and the lack of long term commitment from the Corps for a continued lease, the decision was made to end the lease relationship.
