Director of Music and Worship
Joel, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, arrived at Trinity via Roanoke, Virginia, with his wife, Kathryn. Joel began playing piano at age four and grew up in the graded choir program of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Princeton, New Jersey where he was selected the Graduating Commencement Conductor in 2007.
He has served several churches in Florida, New Jersey and Virginia with experience in children's, youth and adult choirs as well as with conducting orchestras. Joel's organ training (and so much more) was under the tutelage of Lisa and John Wilson.
Part of Joel's mission statement is: "To continue to be used by God and inspired by the Holy Spirit to lead, equip, and encourage others in worship through multiple genres of music. To have a loving, caring, and nurturing heart towards the body of Christ and those He calls me to shepherd. To inspire by example both musically and spiritually. And to continue to walk, grow, and give Him all the honor and glory. Soli Deo Gloria!"
