Trinity on the Hill established a Foundation in 2012 to provide opportunities for members and friends to leave a legacy that will perpetuate the church’s ministries and programs through donations, bequests and planned giving.
The Trinity on the Hill Foundation currently consists of four Endowed Funds that provide financial support to designated missions and ministries of the church. Scroll to learn about each fund.
Beautification and Preservation Fund
Ruth June Rozier Music Fund
Martha Selman Maxwell Scholarship Fund
Charles C. Stebbins, III Fund
Established in 1993 in conjunction with the creation of the Tree of Life
The endowment helps assure that the church facilities are maintained and evolve to support the church’s growing ministries
In the past two decades, this endowment has funded over a dozen projects totalling nearly $600,000
Projects supported include virtually every building on our main campus, and support of property acquisition and development over the years
The Tree of Life sculpture is carved in walnut with brass and gold leaves depicting a living and growing tree. Each contribution becomes a gift that lives, and one that continues to grow

Created in memory of Ruth June Rozier, whose generous financial gift created this endowment in 2007
June Rozier was a native and lifelong Augusta resident and Trinity member
This endowment supports music the church’s music ministries
Since inception, this endowment has provided over $300,000 in financial support to music ministries such as Holy Week worship events and the Evensong concert series
Created to honor Martha Selman Maxwell through a donation from her family
In existence since 1988, this was the first endowment created at Trinity on the Hill
The mission of this endowment is to award college scholarships to deserving Trinity members
Applications for this scholarship are accepted annually from active Trinity members, and awarded after review by an appointed Scholarship Committee. Award criteria includes financial need, church involvement, academic record and community involvement.
Established 2023 as a legacy honorarium for Clay Stebbins in deep appreciation and gratitude for his extraordinary and sacrificial work that allowed Trinity on the Hill to complete the disaffiliation process
This endowment will be used to fund scholarships for seminary and law school candidates; this is meant to honor our history of church members who answer the call into full time ministry
Scholarship awards will begin once the endowment is in position to award annual scholarships of $5,000 or more; the endowment is approximately halfway toward this goal, made possible by donations from appreciative church members as well as investment earnings created since inception
The Trinity on the Hill Foundation is overseen by a 9-member board of directors who play an integral part in the success of the foundation. Board responsibilities include being an ambassador and advocate for the foundation, general management of the foundation’s financial resources, and ensuring support to the church’s missions and ministries in a manner consistent with each fund’s purpose.

Additionally, serving ex-officio on the board are the church’s Lay Leader, Chair of Trustees, Chair of Finance, Senior Pastor and Business Administrator.
