Confirmation

Confirmation will be for 8th graders (2026-2027 school year) and anyone in high school who hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Confirmation is a tradition in the church where young people have the opportunity to publicly profess their faith in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We believe it is essential for kids who were baptized as babies to have a chance to stand before their church, renew the covenant made at their baptism, and receive the Holy Spirit. Confirmation is when a student becomes a professing member of our church body and can participate as a voting member in all church business at Trinity on the Hill.

Each year, this class will be open to all students who are 8th grade and older, whether they have been confirmed or not. Each year we want to remind our high school students the core truths of the faith they are part of, and from that class, all kids seeking the opportunity to publicly profess their faith will be mentored and prepared for such a holy and important moment.

The class will culminate in Confirmation Sunday. On this date, kids who have previously been baptized will stand before the church, declare their allegiance to Christ, be prayed over and confirmed into the faith. Kids who were not baptized as infants will first be baptized and then confirmed.
