Hands Day 365: Open Doors USA

For our second Hands Day activity of the year, we partnered with Open Doors USA and hosted a letter-writing campaign for members of the persecuted church. Eleven members of Trinity joined 3 leaders from the national Open Doors USA of on a Zoom call. Stories of our brothers and sisters in Christ were shared. Custom designed cards were filled with prayers for peace and comfort, written in the recipients’ native languages, then decorated by the children of Trinity on the Hill during Sunday School.

Next Hands Day:

Canal Clean-Up

For our third Hands Day 365, we will clean up Trinity’s portion of the Augusta Canal Trail which is between the Olmstead Trailhead and the Broad Street bridge by the Kroc Center. We’ll be cleaning, planting some bushes, and installing a bench so walkers have a space to sit, pray, and enjoy the beauty of the canal area.

    NO WORSHIP SERVICE TODAY

Due to the Mayor’s declaration of a State of Emergency and the associated curfew in effect until 12:00 PM, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 11:00 AM worship service today.

While we deeply value gathering together, the safety of our congregation and staff must come first. We believe this is the most responsible and faithful decision given the current conditions. We invite you to worship with us through a prerecorded message of Pastor Scott’s sermon for today, Part III of our Apprenticed by Jesus series, Follow & Abide, which is available here: https://youtu.be/0XlSWIS-jjs
