A native Texan, Liz grew up in a Christian home and is a lifelong Methodist. After a family transfer to the Chicago area, Liz completed her BS in Communications at Southern Illinois University. Shortly after graduation the pull to return to Texas took Liz back to Dallas where she began her career in gift packaging, completed her MBA at the University of Dallas, and where she met and married her beloved husband, Bill. They shared 35 years of love and adventures. He will always be Liz’s soulmate.
Liz and Bill moved to North Georgia when she took a position with Georgia Pacific and began attending Creekside UMC. It was here that she received her call to ministry, a call to discipleship and missions. Liz completed her Master in Christian Education from Asbury Theological Seminary, began serving churches in Georgia, and was ordained as a Deacon in the UMC and now in the GMC. While serving Midway UMC, Creekside UMC, Gainesville First UMC, LaGrange UMC and most recently Wesley Methodist GMC in LaGrange Liz live lives out her call by leading discipleship ministries across all ages and working through missions to connect the church and the world.
Throughout her ministry, Liz has seen remarkable growth in those who join small groups. Within these circles, love for God deepens and the reality of Jesus’ sacrifice becomes tangible, as the Holy Spirit guides the study of Scripture and connects it to personal experience. From this, we gain the confidence to share how God’s Word and our relationship with Christ are transforming our hearts. The result is congregations that leave a lasting imprint on their communities, an imprint of love and grace on the lives they touch.
Liz is excited to be part of the Trinity on the Hill staff and community. She loves travelling, reading, gardening and golf. And is a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan!
