In response to the devastation from Hurricane Helene, Trinity on the Hill is planning a trip to the Asheville area to deliver much-needed supplies. If you would like to participate, we are looking for new or gently used sleeping bags, socks, thermals or other base layer clothing items, heavy blankets, coats (all sizes), hats, and gloves.

Donations can be dropped off in the Gathering Area (behind the sanctuary) by November 10th. A team will be delivering items on Nov. 11th.

The CSRA was devastated as Hurricane Helene slammed our community on Friday, September 27th. We are working with our local mission partners to help source supplies that are in most desperate need.

YOU can help! There are two ways to give a monetary contribution.  You can click the “Donate” button below and select the fund “Hurricane Helene Relief-Augusta”, or if you have a Venmo account, you can either scan the QR code or click the button to give via Venmo.  Please mark any contribution as “Hurricane Helene Relief”.

Our Missions team will delegate these funds as needed. Donations are tax-deductible.

We are thankful we were able to be a distribution center for so many people in need during the immediate days following Hurricane Helene.
In an effort to better serve our community, we are transferring our supplies and support to The Hub, GAP Ministries, Murphy Harpst, and Mosaic church.
The Hub will be distributing food Friday from 10-4.

  1. Rick, I wanted to see if your church will be receiving supply donations after 10/4. If yes, do you have a timeframe? I know this is probably hard to answer with every day providing changes, challenges and opportunities. I pastor Springfield Oaks Church, a Global Methodist Church near Savannah. We are looking for ways to help in the regional area. Y’all are just 2 hours up the road from us. We would like to help if possible. Jesus continue to strengthen y’all in His love, wisdom and peace as you minister to those in your area.

    1. Hello, I am organizing a donation drive through my company in Atlanta. We are collecting supplies and will be renting a U-Haul to bring these to Augusta on 10/17. Is there someone I can speak to about coordinating a drop off/ensuring you will still be collecting at this time?

        1. Laura, I signed up for driving the trailer Wednesday, I have a truck. Do you need another trailer?

  2. Hello, our neighborhood community in Atlanta is gathering supplies in a Uhaul and are planning on delivering tomorrow October 4th. Is their anyone that I can reach out to directly to coordinate drop off time?

    1. Hi Ken. We plan to be operation for at least another two weeks. Help is appreciated. I am amazed at how many young mothers are driving around looking for diapers, wipes and formula. Toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, trash bags. Snacks of the little ones. Everything at this point. Adult Depends are also in short supply.

Thanks Ken and thank your folks too.

    2. Hi Brendan,

We can use a lot of just about everything right now. We are making several trips to Sam’s each day. Cleaning supplies, diapers (all sizes), Gatorade, bread is important, along with peanut butter and jelly. Snacks, non perishables, like Mac and cheese, canned goods. Everything you send we’ll pass out.

      Thank you

      Rick

        1. Hi Jim! All sizes are needed but the larger sizes, size 4, 5 & 6, are in higher demand. Thank you!

          1. Hey Rick. We were gonna head your way in my brother’s truck but plans have changed. I can be there in 4 hours and was planning to leave in the AM tomorrow. I have a 4 door jeep and will pack it full, unless you have a better plan. Thanks

  3. I’ve been speaking to Scott so I’m sure you already know we are coming over with supplies from Grayson, Ga. on Monday, 10/14.
We will be loading that morning so I expect us to be there early afternoon. Thanks!

    1. Hi Barbara,

This is wonderful news! Let us know your estimated time and when you get close and we will be ready to unload. Do you have an idea of the size vehicle you will be bringing? This will help with knowing how many workers we need.

      Thank you!

      Rick

      1. I am planning on 4-5 pickups but since we’re collecting this week I won’t know for sure until Sunday. We’ve filled one just today and were given another $600 today.

Tell me what you want the most and I’ll purchase that. BTW: Do you still want foods to grill like hotdogs?

    1. Wonderful! Please come any day this week between 10:30am-4pm to help. More volunteers are needed earlier in the day. Thank you!
